August is supposed to be a quiet month with lots of people choosing to go on holiday to coincide with the school break. It is also traditionally a good time to pick up a few bargains at number plate auctions. However the bargain hunters will have been very disappointed as registrations continue to sell for very good prices.
Just to emphasise how strong the market is at the moment, we did not manage to buy any personal number plates from this auction for our own stock. I accept that we do not pay over the odds for our stock registrations, but even at Simply Registrations we generally manage to spend between £15,000 to £50,000 at each auction.
The good news for anyone who already owns a personal number plate is that whilst prices continue to be so strong, your investment as just as good (if not better) than money in the bank. If you are interested in browsing a selection of cherished number plates click over to the main Simply Registrations website. If you have any questions, why not see if they are already covered in our personalised number plates information and frequently asked questions section.
The Personal Number Plates UK blog is a series of posts containing general personal number plate information. Find out which number plates sold for the highest prices at the DVLA Personalised Registrations Auctions. This blog will be of interest to anyone who already has a personal number plate, or anyone who is thinking about buying a personal number plate.
