The new DVLA Local Office in Leeds is now open for business. We had a couple of number plate transfers to complete earlier this week and decided to pay the new office a visit.
The office is located on the East side of Leeds at Temple Point in Colton. There is plenty of free parking and being just off junction 46 of the M1 motorway it is very easy to find. As you walk in you join a queue to be seen at the ‘check in’ desk. This allows your application and accompanying documents to be checked before you proceed to the ‘check out’ desks.
At the ‘check out’ desk the number plate transfers were completed quickly and efficiently and replacement MOT Certificates and tax discs were printed. “Everything is running smoothly” I was informed. “Nothing much has changed other than we are in a brand new building”. The only complaint from the DVLA employees was that now that they are based outside Leeds City Centre, shopping at lunch time was no longer an option. Poor things!
